What an electrifying playoff series we have coming up. The Dallas Mavericks against the Oklahoma City Thunder? Two teams that have been making waves in the NBA, and I don’t see that energy diminishing anytime soon. Honestly, when it comes to this series, I think that the Mavericks have a real shot at causing an upset here.
Now, before we get carried away, I do understand that the Thunder are a formidable team. They’ve had some incredible playoff performances against the Mavericks in recent years, most notably in the 2023 conference finals. Could they win the series? Absolutely. Will they? I’m not so sure.
I’m leaning more towards the Mavericks in this matchup. The Mavericks have had a strong season, setting numerous league and franchise records during the regular season, while compiling a strong record. They’ve been putting up a fight, with key players like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving stepping up. Not to mention the fact that they’ve been applying pressure on teams so far in the NBA. They want to make a deep run, but can’t look past this matchup. I like the Mavericks in this one. Let’s see how the playoffs unfold!
